Terms & conditions

Here’re draft terms of our agreement:

1. Mikino owns the blog (domain name, design, technology, database, etc.).
2. Blogger owns his/her content (content contributed by others is owned by respective contributors).
3. Blogger grants Mikino the exclusive right to use his/her content on the blog.
4. Mikino pays the running costs of the blog, provides support and manages sales.
5. Blogger manages blog content (min. 15 new posts/month), blog comments and interacts with relevant partners.
6. Mikino collects all “customized” revenues and shares 50% with the Blogger.
7. Blogger collects all “automatic” revenues and shares 50% with Mikino.
8. Mikino has the right to modify, at its own discretion, the implementation of “customized” vs. “automatic” solutions (incl. ceasing one or the other), in order to maximize overall blog revenues.
9. Mikino has the right to discontinue the blog for any reason. If discontinued, all revenue streams will cease.
10. Mikino has the right to sell the blog at its own discretion. If sold, the Blogger will receive 30% of the sales price.
11. Blogger has the right to withdraw permission from Mikino to use his/her content. If withdrawn, Mikino will remove all Blogger’s content.
12. Blogger has the right to resign from the blog at any time and for any reason. If resigned, the Blogger can decide to leave his/her content up and continue to receive “automatic” revenues from it, or ask that Mikino removes his/her content. By resigning, the Blogger waives his/her right to receive any part of the “customized” revenues and the commission in case the blog is sold.
13. Mikino has the right to terminate the Blogger in case of repeated failure to meet minimum content requirements (15 new posts/month) or failure to uphold editorial standards.
14. In case of quality concerns, Mikino has the right to submit the Blogger’s work for peer review to the Bloggers’ plenary. If majority agrees the work is of sub-standard quality, Mikino has the right to terminate the Blogger.
15. If terminated, the Blogger waives his/her right to receive any revenues or sales commissions.
